The TAGGUN receipt OCR API reads line items, merchant name, store address, date, and payment method from any receipt format and language. Partial addresses get resolved. Merchant names get normalized, so whether a receipt prints "COCA-COLA," "CC 330ML," or "COKE ZERO CAN," you get a clean, consistent result.
Purchase Verification Against Your Rules
Once data is extracted, TAGGUN checks it against your criteria:
- Right product? Match by brand, product name, SKU, or product code, even when receipts abbreviate or format names differently across retailers.
- Right store? Verify against authorized merchants, by name only or down to a specific location.
- Right amount? Check unit price, total spend, or minimum quantity.
